Cabin Swedish Cope
“Cabin” appearance swedish cope wall logs are a more rustic version of our “Standard Swedish Cope” log. Cabin appearance logs are milled to the same dimensions as the standard log, but we intentionally mill cabin logs using a log that is a little too small to make a perfect log. When a cabin log comes out of the mill it has spots of bark & gnarls left that the mill did not clean off. We then hand drawknife the bark off so there is no bark left. This style offers a more rustic look. We charge less for cabin logs because we are able to mill them from a smaller diameter log. Most customers prefer the cabin log look over the standard logs, which give the optmial look for Idaho log cabins.
Swedish cope wall logs make simple to construct, exceptionally strong, energy efficient homes. To ensure quality, our Swedish Cope wall logs are grade stamped to meet Timber Product Inspections stringent grading standards. Our saddle notched corner system displays precision craftsmanship, as well as interlocking the two walls in a corner together. We offer Swedish Cope Wall Logs in both Standard and Cabin appearance. Both styles include saddle notched corners and are TPI grade stamped at no additional charge. We use only the driest of wall logs to make our swedish cope log homes, thus minimizing settling. For the ultimate look and feel for Idaho log cabins, the Swedish cope is highly recommended.
